Live it!

As I was driving home yesterday from the gym I saw two grown men cruising down my hill on some BMX bikes. This rare sight made me smile. It reminded me that growing up is a conscious decision that you make because everyone around you is doing it. Why?! Why grow up? Why do we abandon the things that make us happy as a child? I have a skateboard that I'm embarrassed to break out and coast on for fear of the societal judgment. After seeing those 30 something's on those BMX bikes I decided that society can shove it. The next chance I get you will see me skateboarding down McDonald Ave no holds bar. Maybe I can inspire a fellow young-adult to get back to their roots by kicking around their dusty hacky sack or catching air off of some sweet jumps on their rusty mountain bike. Do something that would make your friends question their boring routine. It will probably be the most fun you have had in years. Life is a gift, embrace every possibility.

Hang loose,

and...Action!

Today I had one of those moments where you find yourself smiling in the oddest of circumstances. The sun was shining but the snow was falling and I was running, for fitness, not for fun. If you know me, you will know that smiling doesn't usually coincide with running. Today was different though, I felt free. I hope this is a cue for a spontaneous new year filled with new adventures and surprising encounters.

Cheers!
